What happen when you come first Acupuncture?

Initial Consultation: The acupuncturist will conduct a detailed interview about your health history, lifestyle, and specific concerns or symptoms. They may ask about your sleep, digestion, stress levels, and other aspects of your health.

 

Treatment Plan: Based on the consultation and diagnosis, the acupuncturist will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

 

Acupuncture Session: You will lie down comfortably on a treatment table. The acupuncturist will insert fine, sterile needles into specific points on your body. The insertion is usually painless or causes minimal discomfort. The needles may be left in place for 15 to 30 minutes.

Relaxation: Many people find the treatment relaxing and may feel a sense of calm or even fall asleep during the session.

Post-Treatment Effects: You might feel relaxed, energized, or experience slight soreness where the needles were inserted. These effects are generally mild and temporary.

How safe is Acupuncture?  

Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified and licensed practitioner.

Sterile Needles: Our clinic are only use single-use, sterile needles to prevent infections and ensure cleanliness.

Qualified Practitioners: Our clinic's Dr. Chen has been working in Chinese medicine for over 20 years and is registered with the FTCMP Chinese Medicine Society. She has extensive knowledge and is skilled in safely inserting needles.

Dose it hurt 

Acupuncture is generally not painful for most people.

Needle Insertion: The needles used in acupuncture are very thin, and many people report feeling only a slight pinch or no sensation at all when they are inserted. Some may feel a tingling or dull ache as the needle stimulates the acupoint.

Sensitivity Varies: Individual experiences can vary. Some people may feel more discomfort than others, especially in sensitive areas or if they have anxiety about needles.

After Effects: While the insertion itself is usually not painful, some individuals may experience slight soreness, bruising, or a feeling of heaviness at the needle sites after treatment. These effects are typically mild and temporary.

Relaxation: Many patients find acupuncture to be a relaxing experience, often reporting feelings of calm and well-being during and after the session.
